In 1941 he and his mother were deported to Siberia. In 1943 he was called up to the Berling's army and went with it to Warsaw.

Then he worked and study but in 1949 was arrested after attempt to blow up the monument of gratitude to the Red Army in Gdansk and sentenced to 15 years in prison. He was released in 1955.

In 1989 he bought for a symbolic sum former Zygmunt Klemens property in Krzesk in miserable condition and tried to renovate it.
